I've been shopping for struts for my 06 GXP. The factory bilstiens are blown, and I really don't want to spend like $650-750 on a new set of FE4 Bilstien replacements. Will the FE3 struts work without modification with the 18" wheels and brakes on the GXP? I'm pulling my hair out trying to decide what I need to get. I don't care about making the car handle better, it's my daily and I have another fun car. I just don't want to be driving around on blown struts. Thanks in advance for the help.

    Yes, they work.

Nothing is special about the strut itself, they fit with any size factory wheel.

I can't figure out why it is that rockauto says a lot of the pre assembeled struts only work with 16/17in wheels. It sounded like it had something to do with the bigger brakes on the gxp. If the FE3 sport suspension will work though, thats probably what ill go with since its so much cheaper than the FE4.

Don't be surprised if the car doesn't handle as well after putting those struts on, part of the handling package was the Bilsteins because they were the best struts available. To each their own and you know your finances but those in my opinion are a step in the wrong direction. There is a rear set right of rears now in the classified section. Good luck.
