oki have a 97 gtp and i was getting out of my 11 terrain and never really noticed the lights dim out, not just on off. Is there a way to do this to my gp? Or would this be a hassle.

get SMD LED's and enjoy epic ammounts of light instead. ive noticed mine are barely lit if the key is not in, and when im getting out they dim out slightly before shutting off.

I know they put it on my 97 Bonneville. So it was being done by GM around that time. Question is..did they make it available in GP's.

IIRC it was a function of the BCM.

Well...here's a little known tidbit for you. The 97 Bonneville didn't come with the feature for the headlights to stay on after you unlocked with the fob. If you had a Tech2 and went into the features, you could turn it on. I think it was called illuminated entry.

I'm unsure. A buddy had picked up a Tech 2 for a couple of days and let me get my paws on it for a few minutes. You know..I had to play around.
