    do you guys think that the alpine cda-9865 will fit in the car and in the humount mounts?

    figured i should list this question in there to. my preamps in that cd player are only 2 amps and i was looking for a booster to get them to somewhere arround 6 to 8 amps. does such booster exist??

    I can't speak for size requirement. I own an 04.

    A line driver is not necessary. You're goal is to "multiply" the signal as necessary so that you can create the rated power for your amplifier. That's why they install a pot for gain.

    I can provide you with some links for reading if you'd like? It's easier to try and get the big picture before you start asking questions that pertain to detail.

    i got the whole booster figured out and im not going to use one but i still donnt know about the fitting. does this one fit in my car. its the alpine cda 9856

    What is the din size of the radio? If it is the standard din, I would say yes, it is not, I am sure Humount can custom make one for you.

    I would honestly goto their site and send them an email ask. That way there is no mistaking the size.

    it is a IEJ but i have no idea what that means. i understand that is a size lable but i dont know if it will fit. what is right behind the cd player in our cars? could i adjust whatever it is to make it fit my cd player?

    IIRC my Kenwood is was an E and it fit fine. I will double check tomorrow to find out for sure.

    yeah that HU should fit, but you may have to dremel out a small piece of plastic at the back of the radio opening, it's only like an inch and a half by a half inch or so, in order to use the humount, but it should be fine.
