Ok, so for the past few months this problem has been getting worse and worse. I go out to the car in the morning and try to start it, won't start. I get the battery tested, 3 different times (different places as well) and it's in good condition. So I do a parasitic amp draw test, and I get nothing that stands out. I've removed the remote start weeks ago, unhooked my aftermarket radio and amps, and it's still going dead after less than 24 hours. It's been about 30 degrees out in this part of Ohio, so it's not that miserably cold either. ANY help at all would be so much appreciated, I seriously don't want to take this to a dealer for $60 an hour.
    Thanks!

dead starter???? try hitting it next time it wont crank.

test for power at the small wire on the starter key to held to crank by a helper while you test it for power. if you have power, the starter is bad.

$60 an hour isn't bad. Place near me charges over $100 an hour. But I understand your frustration. Did you get your alternator tested to see if it is bad? Maybe swap in a known good battery for a day and see?

Am I looking for amperage or voltage? For hitting it, do you mean like literally tap the starter with a wrench or something? I'm really not sure on the electrical side of things with these cars haha

And I should add, last time I tried to start it and it didn't start, the battery read 9 volts right after trying to start and it only sat for about 15 hours.

9 volts is low. when tested was it load tested?

all you need is a simple test light, if it lights up you have power.

when i say hit it, i mean hit the body of the starter with a hammer, good firm shot or three while the key is held to crank. most will work again for a short while.

I tried a test light and it turns out that thing doesn't work anymore so I had to rely on my multi meter. I first started having problems with it back in late August, had it checked and it was fine. Got it tested again in probably October, checked out fine, and lastly in November when I was really starting to scratch my head I took it to my mechanic and he also said it was within spec. Would I have to jack up the car to do the starter testing stuff you mentioned?

yes, jacking the front up some so you can get your head under will help.

you can lift the whole front up via the front part of the sub frame with a floor jack. you wont have to lift the wheels off the ground to get under there.
