I have a stock 08 GXP with 66,000 miles. After changing batteries out, the speedometer would jump erratically. Shortly after that, while coming to a stop, the car will stall at idle. It almost seems as if it's not downshifting or the torque converter isn't disengaging.

I had the TCM flashed and reprogrammed. That fixed the issue for about 5 days, then it picked up where it left off. Mechanic is wanting to install a new one to see if that fixes the issue.

Has anyone had this issue before? There are no codes or lights being displayed either.

I had that issue; not saying that is the same thing....but I actually had a mechanical failure. Car would bog and jump and act all sorts of dumb. Sometimes totally die. Completely at random. Ended up being a failed Torque Converter from extended amounts of heat from the LS4 that killed it. Hopefully that isn't your case...but my trans kicked the bucket at 62k. I also had no visible codes or anything of that nature.

If I were u I'd double check the grounds and the tighten the fusblock connectors, since that's where your problem started.

I would also highly reccomend getting a real tune. Replacing the TCM will help nothing .

I'm with 91PA. Someone tugged on cables swapping the battery in, first thing I'd check is that ground connection 10mm bolt 1 ft in front of the battery on top of the radiator support.
