Anyone ever get this code? It started showing up after I dropped to a 3.0 and I noticed my ltft'a are always negative.

Since I'm a sarcastic jerk, I also looked it up.

    P1260 OBD Trouble Code

    1 result found
Type Powertrain - Manufacturer Controlled DTC - Manufacturer Controlled
Description Fuel Pump Speed Relay Control Circuit Conditions
Cause Key on or engine running, then the PCM detected an improper voltage level on the Fuel Pump Speed Control PWM circuit, condition met for at least 30 seconds

With that info, do you know any reason why the pcm is detecting soemthing with the fuel pump. Maybe you put a hotwire kit in place?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

That's why I always go with the Travelocity kit instead...

lol Bill, the sarcasm is always welcome!

Nope, no kit... this code just started happening when dropped to a 3.0 pulley.

    Maybe it's just coincidental?

I've never heard of a fuel pump electrical issue code being linked to a round pulley. No.. I don't believe they are linked. Although if you changed the pulley, you dicked around with the fuse box. That code is likely from an issue with the box.

Checked every last fuse, wire, connector etc...

Started to re-tune my LTFT's this morning. So far the code is gone and hasn't come back(so far).

I wonder if the issue is from having constant negative ltft's....

    Tricky stuff

Bill, I have been testing and scanning left and right to no avail. The code only shows up on WOT runs... Perhaps my Fuel pump can't keep up? Or maybe I should do the Hotwire/Travelocity lol... any other ideas?

I'm thinking you need to research that code further. Find some GM info on it to understand why what you are suggesting is not even in left field..it's in another whole ball field, in a different state from your code.

See what it says will cause the code and then you can test/diagnose properly.

Further research, I found a QC GP post about it, saying it's not technically a code for an 02.. but I'd want to check my GM FSM's first.

Solved: Gt body is always high speed. Just had to turn off the error code.

Almost all cars were high-only. The FP speed control relay/resistor was a commonly deleted or bypassed system on 3800 SC cars to eliminate the possibility of failure.

Total guess, but with a SC tune and LTFT's wanting to reduce fuel, it could've been trying to enter low-speed mode and erroring due to the hardware not being there. Never looked into how detailed they programmed that system, so apply much salt to my guessing on that. Probably something in that realm of the pcm thinking it should be seeing that FP resistor and speed relay, though. Kill the DTC in the tune, and party on, if you don't have a car that came with that stuff.
