A stock pump will run variably based on the engine driving it. An electric runs at one speed.
I know of a guy in Arizona that can not run the electric in the summer heat with 3.69 gears etc as a DD car. It doesn't turn as fast as the stock would and therefore his cooling sufferes. yet..I ran an electric year round in CT and never had a single issue with 3.29's and DDing it.

    A stock pump costs $35
An electric pump total cost is around $400

I could not tell that the electric saved me any hp as it was not noticable. I know it had to, but it was minimal and not noticed. I'd put the money toward other high hp per dollar mods if you had other things in mind.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
