Can anyone tell me if the L36 (non-supercharged 3800) throttle body and valve covers are the same as the L67? My dad has a spare L36 sitting in his shop and if they were the same, I was going to try porting the TB and maybe smoothing out the valve covers for on my 97 GTP.

    Thanks!

They are not the same. I think the bolt holes might line up on the throttle bodies but they are different. the valve covers are also different (I think there are little spaces for the injectors since they are in the heads on the GTP)

The only thing thats the same is the block (except for compression)

TB's are the same bolt pattern, but the L36 TB is much smaller. And yes, the VC's have a different bolt pattern since the injector bosses are in the heads on the supercharged cars and the N/A ones are in the LIM.

    Thanks for the help!

The MAF sensors are the same though, correct?!? For the 97-98 models.

I hate to change the subject, but atleast its a thread I started. Do you know the boost difference between a 3.4 and 3.5 pulley? I know stock 3.8 is around 7.5-8.

It depends on mods. I was seeing 8-9 psi on a 3.4 and like 7 on a 3.5
2001 GT. A few here and there mods http://www.streetfire.net/video/2001...ynp_208097.htm

you could probably get away with a 3.5. You'll never know until you try.

Every car is different...you won't know until you have a real boost gauge that tells you what your running.

My buddy had over 13psi on a 3.4" with a ported blower/tb/fwi/tune/PEM's/3" DP

I had 10-11psi on a 3.25" with an XP and headers and other junk...so...

    yeah.

btw...most stock GTP's tend to sit around 5-7psi stock.

Thanks guys. I have full 3" exhaust, Wizaired, 180* tstat, and will have a tune and AL 104s before pulley goes on. Pulley is actually being installed on the dyno, right before dyno tuning.
