I need to get my L67 heads conditioned before my top swap. I want all the basic work done to them. I've got all new seals and the L76 springs for the 1.9 rockers. The heads have about 40k miles on them. Anyone know of a good shop in the MD, DC, VA metro area that is familiar with the 3800?

I'm in Oxon Hill, MD. It's about 5 minutes from Alexandria, VA. I think I've found a place. I'm waiting for them to email me back. They're in southern MD.

What is the name of the place in Southern Maryland? I know a guy that runs stuff out of his home...it has to be over a million dollars in equipment and he knows his stuff. I will have to see if I can dig up his information.

Not really. A lot of people drive them, not a lot of people mod them. When we hold the annual NAIOA meet, we might get 3-4 GPs that show up.

Hayden's. A friend of mine had a cavi head reconditioned there. I'm not looking for a crazy p&p job, I just need them cleaned up and ok'd before I go to put them on the car.

I'll gladly take the info though. As I said, I haven't made a decision yet because I emailed them on a Saturday and I'm still waiting for a reply.

If it is the Hayden's in Lexington Park, they shut down their machine shop about two years ago...literal a week before I went to get my stuff done. That is how I found the guy that did my work. I used to have a piece of paper with the guys name and phone number on it, I will see if it is still in my night stand somewhere.

Really? Are you sure it's been two years? My friend got that Cavi head done maybe just over a year ago. Their website seems current. If I don't hear anything from them by tomorrow, I'll call down there.

I went to have heads done in August/September of 2007, and they had closed up shop. I will PM you with contact info for AM & PM Machine. The guys name is Pete Mesmer, an old retired airline pilot. I would never choose Hayden's over him knowing what I do now.
