Has anyone tried running the short stack intercooler core with the dual pass heat exchanger and maybe a higher flow rated pump? Just curious if all the claims of heat soaking is just from the front mount.

It's mostly due to the volume of the system. You can add a lot of heat absorbing capacity to it by installing a good sized reservoir. A higher flowing pump never hurts, along with a bigger fmhe.

Thats what i was thinking and yes i would love to do the full sized but the cost for the fuel rail solution and then making the intake not hit the hood is too much for a college student right now. I was thinking if i relocated the battery thats a large space for a nice sized reservoir.

short stacks kinda suck. no idea why they make the in and outlet tubes so damn small either.

i got a fsic, and cut up a stock rail and made my own modded rails. cost me 20 bucks.

you could use a l67 rail, remove the fpr and just use the inlet tube to the rail.

the small line would be removed with the fpr. it comes off the fpr.

maybe dual pumps may help as well im doing a dual ss build and I basically have 2 of everything except 1 reservoir both systems take from and feed into the same reservoir that way if one is way cooler than the other they will balance out I got my second (weaker) pump out of an Mercedes m class I believe took only 5 min to remove and cost $15 I believe. maybe you could do one for each front mount
