I installed the Fel PRo plastic LIM gaskets on my car in 2009, and converted to conventional green coolant, not knowing about the metal ones. However I changed them again to the metal ones in 2018 just as a maintenance precaution, as I was noticing small amounts of coolant (non dexcol, converted to conventional green) on the intake manifold. Upon removal of the plastic Fel Pro gaskets, they had cracked just as the factory ones showed in 2009.

    Pictures are below:

The decision is up to you, but I would only use the metal gaskets (if available). The plastic ones work, but fail eventually over time.

that's all I need to hear lol oh well I did only pay $11 for them and they came with a tube of rtv so its not all bad if I bought the same tube it would probably be $5 at oriellys haha but yea for some odd reason they looked metal in the pic but after receiving them and taking a closer look at the pic and part # I realized ive been dooped lol kinda mad too because rockauto says 2nd design which just makes me assume metal design haha
