Where did you folks draw power from for your Meth systems, and also for your wideband. Im thinking of tappiung into the radio power wires for the wideband, but im not sure how much current it draws.

i also got my Mirror today, its a bit rougher than i thought so its going to need some polishing.

add a fuse off the wiper fuse. i ran everything off that one fuse. o/p wb, and the meth. all of said grounds went directly to the battery.

    Hi All,

I am reasonably confident i want to swap my boost adder.

The only question is turbo or the TVS kit lebarge sells .

    My thoughts

    TVS:
Pros: Adds more power, keeps the power band and instant throttle response, looks crazy under the hood
Cons: Probably not going to be as easy to get to 450 wheel, parasitic drain Costs 2 grand more than the turbo for less power

    Turbo:
Pros: Sky is the limit in terms of power, I can re use most of the mods ive done for the m90 (N* FSIC, etc) Price
Cons, turbo lag, Throttle control (all my turbo cars havent had the same throttle control under boost as my SC/NA cars) no SC whine.

Id love feedback. I want the regal to run low 11s at some point.

Another question, I know i want to cam the car before i go turbo, So what cam is better suited to either roll, S1x cam (potentially turbo'd) or a statama turbo Cam potenitally run on SC?

Hp for Hp you run a turbo cam with a turbo, I ran a stage 2 stattama turbo cam. If you want lope, S1x

Turbo will hands down smash any roots. You cant afford to keep a trans held together with a turbo.
Turbo there is no lag unless your looking for a track monster and a 4500k stall.

The cartuning I had was almost instant in my LOW comp L67. HI comp would have been faster. If you do want that bigger turbo for even more power just bump up your torque converter stall and hold on.

id be doing the precision 6262 from the zzp kit.

The question then, is can you pull on it hard from a stop without just roasting the tires. I dont mean full throttle i mean part throttle but in boost. Its one of my favorite things with the m90, pull away Juuust on the edge of breaking the tires and then feed it more.

Nope, can't do that with a turbo. It will build boost and blow the tires off.

Sounds to me like you should keep your supercharger and add a turbo. Best of both worlds.

I seem to recall being told dual charging is a very bad idea on these cars.

    Alright fellas,
Give me your thoughts. I have the meth kit, but im wondering if a cam would be a bigger improvement than meth and dropping from 2.9 to 2.6. Im not seeing any knock on the 2.9 i have.

Im considering selling or returning the meth kit i bought and putting that money towards a solid XP cam /s1x cam setup .

My thinking is that just a cam by itself should net more power than dropping 3 pulley sizes. Im also thinking that something like the XP cam would allow me to run at least a 2.7 on my current setup.

You'll make more power with meth. Cams are fun too though, because they change the powerband.

There is nothing wrong with twincharging. Many have done it and never had a problem. There are even kits out there for some of the newer cars too.
There is no reason they would blow up. Please expand on why you think that scotty.

Out of curiosity why would meth make more power than a cam? Is it because i can smack the car with timing?

Meth cools the intake charge drastically. You can run way more boost with it.

That would definitely make sense if i wasnt already running a 2.9 pulley with 0 knock on e85. From what ive read, going to a 2.6 is about all you can really hope for out of the m90. Seems like i could realistically get there with an XP cam.
Im not trying to argue just trying to understand.

On another note, i may do both, but i want to make sure my cam is the right one for the personality i want out of the car.
I dont really want to rev the car past 6k, and I REALLY dont want to end up having to rev the car out to move. My favorite thing about the m90 is the broad torque and power band.

What do the power bands of the xp and VS cams look like? Id be willing to loose some peak numbers to keep the power band i want.

Id like to see 350 whp all said and done on the m90.

    That would probably look like:

    XP cam
    2.6 pulley
    Meth?
    FSIC,
Ported heads/ Intake runners (would port it to match the intake gasket port size)
    Gen 5 SC
    e85

Im told getting into the high 11s is reasonable with an XP cam and some head work.

Meth will cool your intake charge in addition to e85. It's similar to adding an intercooler to your current setup.

I've never run the vs, but had a couple XP cars. Low end will still annihilate street tires on demand. If you want 350whp, you'll probably need a cam. 11's will be tough though. XP, e85, and meth might get you there if you have good air, but most cars run mid 12's with those mods.

My XP car went 12.9, but air isn't great here.

I have an FSIC , I also plan to port the heads. The regal is heavy girl compared to the GTP . next year i want to turbo her, but for now cam it is. If i run meth ill run the tiniest pulley possible ,and smack the thing with timing.

If you are porting heads, get an xpz or is3. The XP and s1x are great, but if the heads are coming off, there are better choices.

Too late , already ordered. I also dont want to ruin the sleeper feel of the car where i can drive it completely normal till i hit the throttle . Lie i said turbo is incoming but for now this should be satisfying. Also gives me the opportunity to check out the engine etc.

Just FYI, the xpz barely lopes. I can make it idle like a stock car. The XP or s1x have a decent lope.
