I have the AEM e85 pump. I can run it pretty low because I've hacked out the bottom of the canister. I had 3 or 4 pumps that all failed since I went e85. The AEM has been in the longest. So much for those who say the stock pumps won't have an issue with e85.

Still, I try not to let the fuel get below 1/4. It's just good practice for several reasons. Plus, filling up with e85 is so "cheap" I almost look forward to topping it off.

Got the pump installed and the hoses routed for the most part. I am waiting to install the belts before i do the final trim. Pop made a standoff bracket for the pump, where its supposed to mount where the horns were. It let us mount the pump vertically, and its not rubbing against anything. it also made connecting the wires easier. I also cut some of the headlight opening, the part close to the radiator at the bottom. This should make it easier to route the hoses. We shoved the horns into the fender. I will post some pics later.

Ok, I am more than a bit late with photos, but check out the link below for what i have going on.

Update your browser to use Google Drive - Google Drive Help

1st we got the fuel rail situation sorted out. We used some steel line, and compression fittings to modify the stock rail. The front line around the SC snout is temporary, it will be replaced with some braided line when Im not trying to just get the car to run again. I checked the hood clearance and all seemed well.

2nd. My pop mad a stand off bracket for the IC pump so that its not wedged in place, and so that it can stand up and down.

3rd, you can see that the headlight opening was expanded, we cut and folded down some metal to give the hoses more clearance.

Interestingly, the injector wires on the back side of the engine wont reach. Tuesday, pop is going to extend them.

Pop is also going to make a T bracket to fit between the fender and the belts to hold the hoses in place to prevent any chance of them rubbing.

    To do:

    1. Wire everything back up, including lengthening the rear injector harnesses

    2. Change the oil and add coolant

    3. add fluid to and purge the IC

    4. reinstall the front bumper.

5 Flash the ECU for the new injectors

Hoping to have the thing up and running thursday night.

Oh yeah, still no answer from ZZP on how to install their fuel logs, so come tuesday im requesting a refund.

Got the belts on, plugged up most of the wires, and started adding fluid to the IC.

How do i tell when the IC is completely primed?

Also, How did you all route your hoses through the SC belts. they are super close and it seems like hitting a pothole would be enough to make them shift and rub.

this is how I had mine routed, if I was going to redo it, I would probably use a more solid hose because I did have a minor kink in one of the lines

if your tubes dont allow you to turn the hoses over the coils, you can add 90º elbows to turn em. ive never been a fan of running the hoses through the belts.

got mine ran through the hole behind the head light.

as far as filling the ic and core. it depends on if you have a res tank, or just a fill tube or a rad cap not knowing what fmhe you have. fill the system pump off, then pump on keep filling it till it takes no more if on the hose fill or rad with cap. with a res tank you can see it spit air out and know for sure its all bled out.

Saturday Was an absolute chore. We got the fuel rail to stop leaking, but starting the car didnt go well. it wsa running insanely rich, and wouldnt idle. Were talking -80% fuel trims.. We also found out the MAF sesnor wasnt working. (i think it failed during the SC porting. I tried adjusting the fueling, we checked the thing up and down, i even removed the 80lb injectors and put the stock ones bakc on and same issue. Finally, i had pop remove the vacuum line from the Fuel pressure regulator. no vacuum from the line. So the car was in Speed density mode, and not only was the regulator flowing crazy, but the MAP sensor wasnt getting vacuum either. What happened is that the T fitting that connects to the front of the LIM collapsed. Once I replaced it the car ran fine.

No fuel leaks, no knocking etc. The big issue is the MAF sensor is still trashed.

Im hoping to drive it home tonight. Its still runing rich around 12% but I think thats more so needing to be tuned for all of the new stuff. ZZP is sending me 300 bucks in store credit, so i plan to get a front powerlog, whcih will support a turbo build.

a powerlog will only help you if you get the stattama turbo kit. the other kit is designed to be run off of oem exhaust manifolds and cartuning is designed to be run off oem manifolds too.

Well, i drove her home last night. Drove it to work today. I currently have a fire extinguisher in the car, because i dont fully trust the fuel rail yet.
Otherwise the car is running pretty well. It is running lean but the LTFT hasnt sorted itself out yet. I did get on the car a bit and no KR. I am not sure if I am seeing the boost i am supposed to be seeing.
I saw about 11PSI of boost on a 2.9 inch pulley. I have the stock exhaust manifolds. ported SC outlet, the IC, and the adjusted ratio rockers, also a 3 inch DP. Is this what i should expect? I did loose the coating on my rotors.

That sounds about right to me.

You should use that $300 on a fuel rail so your car doesn't burn to the ground.

Yeah I saw that. I'm not sure why though. Now you have a rail that can leak.

if I read right I seen you had the fuel logs and took them back because they were not bolt on and needed modifications to work this is understandable. fuel logs are pretty overkill for the build I just went with modified rails from zzp never really heard any issues and they are a direct replacement only I would recommend getting these as they are half the price of the logs as well
