Turbo, e85 with 80's you would sell all your cars because there is no comparison to this.
I get what youre saying, but 2 seconds is a long time to wait for power, especially since i drive this thing to work and through downtown. I want torque when i want it, even if i dont need a tone.

Also, no chance im driving a Buick at VIR, or summit point. No matter how much power it makes, i wouldnt trust a Wbody at 120 in a turn.... So the GTI stays

The rumor is the rotors and if intercooled are restrictions, thus why big builds are never twin charged.

2800rpm a pt61 is singing loud and clear.

Ill take 2 second lag vs a m90, the power between the 2 isnt even comparable. That butthole pucker is so awesome

You may be able to get it to work with a tune on some cars. I'm not real sure if that's possible though.

I would add a boost switch that will trigger the bypass.

I'd recommend not listening to these rumors.

Those two seconds gives you a nice taillight view of a good running m90 build.

I guess it would read boost from the charge pipe, and once that hit a certain PSI, trigger the bypass to open?

Honestly, Ill take a reduction in overall power for the satisfaction of instant power. As long as i can make close to 400 im happy. Another thing too, is that there is nothing lost by twincharging. If i don't like it, i can just remove the rotors slap the end plate on and go from there.

I would prefer the lag would make takoffs easier and not spin the wheels so much my dsm had like 250 to the wheels and had like a 2 sec lag you couldn't spin the tires in the rain if you but once the lag was gone thing pulled you hard and still no tire spin it was AWD also haha. I remember this ricer kid I grew up with kept wanting me to do a burnout and I would always say I cant and people who didn't know cars didn't believe me because the thing took off so quick then he would tell me he could make it do a burn out I was like HA good luck itd be easier doing it with my dads focus base model

Im thkning about ordering the turbo kit on friday, since the plan is to twin charge, is it possible to just unplug the bypas module until i can figure out how to rig everything up for the twin charging? That would keep me from having to buy the m90 blockoff plate.

gtppower never really answered the question of how much horsepower it took to turn the m90. I don't know for sure, but I know it's more than the 1-2 he said.

How much more of a detailed answer do you want than 1-2?

Eaton claims at cruise, the m90 uses about 1/2 a hp.

I don't think unplugging it will do anything.

You didn't have any problems with spinning because you only had 250whp and AWD.

    here is my "rough" plan

    Order the z3 kit.

    Switch back to pump gas

Install it with the supercharger intact but unplugging the bypass so that it remains open

Set the Turbo to whatever boost stock injectors will tolerate

See if i can live with the lag, if not work on twincharging, if so, yank the roots out

    Step 2:

80lb injectors e85, fuel pump Big boy boost levels

step 2.5 start building a trans.

on the topic of twin charging, I imagine i could use something like the pump controller for the meth system. It would trigger at x psi on the charge pipe, which should be independent of the boost the SC is making since the charge pipe is before the SC.
Once it triggers ... What does it do? I thought the natural state for the bypass valve was open, and applying current to it, or boost is what closed it.

    Vaccum is suppose, not boost.

    That should work.

The bypass is open during normal operation. As you mash the gas, the bypass closes. The m90 can't produce boost until the bypass closes, since it doesn't compress the air until it's in the LIM.

I suppose i could, but buying the kit takes the guess work out, and i really like the Oiling solution that pulls from the sender. I think the standalone solutions all require taping the tank.
