pump does sound well used lol

maybe it locked up and melted the wires then. id still double check them tho.

Ive attached pictures of where I grounded I had 30 going to the + on the pump seems that it even got a little hot and stuck itself to the other wires although didmt stick or get hot enough to do damage 87 going to the positive battery post 85 going to the switch in the fuse box and 86 going to the ground near the top of the car while the ground on the pump is the one near the head light Shared album - Thomas Zerilli - Google Photos

Probably a good idea wont be able to finish tonight though also had to take care of my coolant elbows leaking and have a lot to do this weekend and plenty of home work but I'll definitely follow this when I put the intercooler setup back together also what did you use to glue your barbs to the coolant resolver I used liquid nail and it seems to be leaking a hair😤

i used marine epoxy. sanded the plastic and metal tubes some to scuff em up good, then sealed em up. sanding gives the epoxy something to bite into and hold better.

when you cut the holes, use a 3/4 flat wood blade. works like a charm, nice clean holes.

i used a cheap dorman tank, 8 bucks iirc. welded two bolts to my rad support, and nutted the tank on that way.

haven't had a chance to get to this yet hopefully I can this weekend but in the mean time Ive been having a weird intermittent squealing noise coming from my engine for the past 2 weeks. at first I noticed I had a coolant leak and figured out the coolant elbows I installed didn't seal and were spraying onto the belt well I fixed the leak but the noise is still there? belts are both relatively new and the leak is non existent now. seems to only squeal when car is fully warm and foot is off the gas. is it just a bad belt due to the overexposure to coolant or could it be something more serious. note that the car runs fine and with the windows up and music up you would never even be able to notice the issue.

Pulleys are all new less than 15k miles and I have a valve cover breather cap should I just run that for a drive and if the noise goes away then I know its that right?

Or I wonder if excess rtv came loose and clogged the pcv valve? That would explain why it didnt happen right away and would be an easy fix

no breather. you could run a line vc to tb. but if you got a ic with working pcv, make sure the holes are clear.

if its the pcv the sound you hear is coming from the crank seal. its sucking in air. taking the oil cap off will make it go away , if yo uput your hand over the hole, you will feel it sucking on your hand...engine running of course.

ill check if it sucks when I get home as I said the squealing is very intermittent so it will be hard to diagnose off just the noise

if its not sucking,,,take the belts off and fire it up for a min or two, see if the sound is still there, hand spin all them pulleys if the sound is gone.

you can also wash the belts, scrub brush and hot soapy water works great.

also make sure the belts are on the balancer all the way, ive put the sc belt on and had one rib riding the edge of the balancer. makes the tensioner really tight too.
