So I have asked for last year about belt drive parts. So no one has ever shown a picture of the lower idler that's down by crank pulley. I know about the upper mount with tensioner and idler. But since far that lower one I can't get a good look at, any offered for sale or where to get one. Three times I have tried to buy the drive parts and three times the deals fell through and sellers never get back to me. I have the zzp converted intake so I can bolt up to non SC heads. And still debating on injector size. Supposedly local station is getting E85 and E100. Already have non E10 90 octane.
Guess could call zzp and get the single belt pulley. But had hoped to make it look stock.

^^ What is going on in that photo? Is that pulley and bracket just resting on an open LIM? Making me dizzy LOL. Your confusing the hell outta the guy with that photo.

But yes. That is the idler and bracket that's by the balancer (crank) pulley. One of the 3 bolts go through the water jacket. Pisses coolant everywhere.

It's a picture I found that someone posted. It is kind of trippy.

If you'd like, I can pick one up when I'm at the junkyard this weekend? I can't imagine they'd charge more than say $10-15, and it's pretty light, so shipping shouldn't be bad either.

if you do, grab the bolts too for him too. them bolts in the n/a block just dont seem to be good enough. they also might not be long enough. i tossed mine and used the bolts off the l67 when i swapped it over.

Well heck yeah, and if car is 04 up and has appropriate bracket/mount for upper idler and tensioner would be great. I'll just pick up the tensioner assortment I found locally , guy has both of the after market o e with different percentage and a new stock one also for $50 . I tell ya that darn unit is a biotch to find. At least here in Indiana where I live. I've had a low miles gen V zzp intake and rails, the other stuff is just pure hell in southern Indiana. To locate. Found guy who was selling g engine trans complete ,till saw car had been hit I. Right front and engine trans were junk. Even broke blower in middle and broke like 4 or 5 injectors and it was low miles 07 L36!!!!!!

Owch! Yeah, grand prix's are like water here in Kansas City. There's always at least 60 in the local junkyards even with turn around of one month! And yeah, that's not a bad price for the tensioner. I switched to the camaro tensioner awhile back so I could upgrade to the CS144 alternator and haven't looked back! I'll pm you this weekend with pics!

Wow typed balancers in phone and it changed word to tensioners!?! Crazy autocorrect guy has the 5% 10% and STD diameter BALANCERS ALL FOR $50 . Yeah read about alternator upgrades but been toying with removing decoupling pulley and rewire it so regulator controls Alt with no computer control at all. just trying to gather parts for blower install before new engine hits 100k(installed 69 k engine 20k+ miles ago. And been trying g to save some cash for when built trans comes my way or parts to build one. I can do it just prefer to drop one in. For $630 in car, traded work for $350 engine w 6 month warranty it's been great. Gotta do some repair at rad support due to rust but rest of car is ok. Oh and rad needs swapped out, have new schedule rad, and will need heater core before winter but all in owning 04 w 200k+ miles.

Strangely, there weren't many gtps there and the ones that did either had bad pulleys or were crushed so you couldn't get to them without pulling the entire engine! Good news for you though is that I found someone parting out a gtp here who is selling me the entire engine so I'll just give you that pulley since I won't need one for a while and they are usually abundant around here. Hopefully all goes as planned and I'll be picking it up thursday and I'll let you know!

So would it possibly have the upper mount the tensioner and other pulley goes on and the coils bolt too? If not or your using it I have another source possibly. And it turns out I will have the three harmonic balancer powerbond makes the 5%10% and stock diameter if he comes over this weekend.

Where did you find a 10% powerbond?

Do they work though? Powerbond never made a 10% OD balancer for the 3800 to my knowledge.

Well I know I looked them up and there was STD, performance and then a 5% and 10% but either STD or performance was discontinued or limited availability. I'll look up numbers again. Used to have it all wrote down.

It's a 10% underdrive? That's the only one I see at that link.

Still hoping someone can source me the part like one in picture above. And also need the coil bracket that holds the tensioner and other idler.
I am hoping to soon be able to make aftermarket pedestal but want stick one to reference from. Seems all SC cars around in jy u can pull parts at are stripped. I just installed new rad as mine was ****. Figured out had to trim about 1/4" all around as sc rads take different fan setup. I will say the 1800radiator kit I got through work was awesome, new rad, hoses clamps and cap all in one box and I even got package of candy(thier little gimick) all for $135ish! Had to go through work as I am using payroll deduction. But let me say when car ran with temp couple notches above half it cooked 23.6 mpg, now back with stock tstat it's back to low 20s. I will see what new wires and plugs do as it was 69k engine but is at/over 100k now. But man it loved little warmer running temps. If I could swap to Evanscooling coolant I'd try to run her at around d 225 all the time. Tuned buddy's race car at 230 with Evans coolant, and it loves extra heat, especially when he hammers NOS. 300 port shot and 225 plate system is LOT of NOS. Comes back with sweaty intake and carbs.
