Dexron 3, your trans dipstick also says what fluid to run.

    How many miles?

Either way. I highly suggest you do NOT do a flush. Do a pan drop only.

Do a pan drop with dex 3. Don't forget the filter as well.

Just unbolt the transmission pan and tilt till fluid come out on one corner.
Drain the fluid into a large pan a little at a time.
    Remove the tranmission pan.
    Remove the transmission filter.
Remove tranmission gasket, if original can be used again.
    Clean tranmission pan and gasket.
    Install new transmission filter.
    Install tranmission pan and gasket.
Fill with approx 6 to 8 quarts of transmission fluid Dex III.
Check fluid for level on tranmission dip stick while warm and running.

You just changed approx 80% of the fluid.

Actually it's a 13 quart system, making it only 65% if you replace 8.5 quarts. I did a manual flush changing about 10 quarts, that's 77%.
