hey guys, im having some troubles!!! i have been handed a project that was half started, a buddy of mine blew a head gasket on his LQ1 a couple years ago and he thought he would try tackling the project himself....he tore it down to the block and stopped lol and now has handed it off to me. im at the point now where im trying to figure out where all the vacuum lines and such go. my question is does anyone have diagrams or can point me in the direction to find information about this engine...or if they can tell me were i can even find parts because some stuff is broken/missing...iv checked junk yards, and every parts store/web sights don't even have the LQ1 as an engine option lol. i know this might be kind of a noobish post...but i could really use the help....like i said i have the heads, cam cribs, and lower manifold on already...i just need some guidance on where lines and such go.

What year Lq1 are you working on. I have a 95 that I rebuilt. Think the vac lines are mostly the same. I remade alot of them since they were so old and britile. I can grab you some pics of mine. There is not alot of lq1 support on this forum. I found alot of my info at 60degreev6.com and the wbody.com forums.

    http://60degreev6.com/content.php/30...re-Walkthrough

Use that. You need a hold down tool.and a cam sprocket tool to time it..its pretty easy once you understand how it goes. The lq1 creates more hp than standard pushrod..thwre is pros nd cons to both engines...over all after getting.my lq1 together its pretty neat. I made my hold down tool outta a piece of steel amd bolt. If you need the cam tool and my home made hold down.just pay shipping each way and you can borrow them.
