it appears that my rear transverse spring has failed, it looks splintered. which has caused the rear of the car to sit down on the back wheels.(it happened while parked thank god) I replaced the rear struts, but no fix it went back down again. anybody ever experienced such a thing??

yes its common with the 1st gen W rear spring, its a pita but you must replace it.

they tend not to break unless the end rub pads wear through and then it starts to rub through the fiberglass spring.

w-body.com is far more 1st gen oriented and from time to time ive seen good used leaf springs for sale
