    I don't know much about the older cars. Saw this one at dusk. Thought it was a GTP with green paint. Wrong on both counts.

    Any major issues with the engine/trans? Passive interest, but I did always like the body style. Very high miles on this one at 207,000.







    No rust under the rear arches. Are these worth putting work into?

    Oil leaks and intake gaskets are the major problems, if they are fixed the 3.1 is a good motor still.

    Reading a very long opinion thread on the 3.4L found in upper trim levels. Timing belts instead of chain, known idle issue needing updated PROM (whatever that is), the starters against the firewall, cam position sensors go bad ..but can be tuned with HPT? Last bit I wouldn't expect.

    Could be the basic 3.1L might be a better option.

    Tuning might be the newer version 3.4L in different body style.

    94 is OBD1, no tuning for those.

    The newer 3.4 is a 3.1 with a few things different and can be tuned with like DHP, and HPT if found in the monte carlo, impala cars.
