Hey guys, when I am sitting at a light in my 89 2.3 liter quad four, 5 speed manual, car is warmed up, I go to shift to 1st and it grinds, I actually have the clutch peddle down to the floor from when I stopped and putting it in first I can feel the gear or something spinning and I got to pop it in to first with the grinding sound, clutch is only 6 months or so old. any idea's on what to check, or does it sound like I put in a cheap ass clutch?

Yea its not fully disengaging it sounds like. You might have air in the hydraulic system.

ive never had to bleed a hydraulic clutch system. im a big rig mechanic. i believe its just like bleeding brakes. pump pump pump, open bleeder till fluid comes out, top off fluid, pump pump pump, open bleeder till fluid comes out, top off fluid...and so on

Ok when I replaced my clutch, I was hooking up the cable to the pedal and didn't remember if there was a e-clip on there or anything to hold the cable in place, well turns out there is som sort of clip on the pedal shaft that had broke, which cause my cable to tweek just enough to prevent clutch from fully disengaging, so put a sm. hose clamp on to keep cable on pedal and no more grinding.
