guys with beefed up trans, have you used the tiny tuner to tune/adjust the firmness and timing of the shifts? right now i have my 2nd and 3rd gear shift pressures at 96psi but also increased the amperage(lowered the timing inbetween shifts) under the forced motor current vs commanded line press. vs temp in the 90psi from ~290 to 68 and 96psi row from ~100 to 28. anyone did any adjustments at all?
trannyman if you red this let me know what your thoughts are. another member on cgp posted a response to the same questions i stated above:

Are you sure you are even running 96 PSI at WOT? I ask because I found out recently after getting HPTuners and doing a scan that my car is reading about 200-300 ft./lbs of torque at WOT, which in PowrTuner (Or Tiny Tuner) is the equivalent of Step 10 - Step 15. Back in the day when I had a Powrtuner I assumed I was using the the higher steps for WOT and now it turns out I'm NO WHERE NEAR IT, LOL. For me, WOT line pressure is in the mid range. Of course, your car is putting out more power so you wouldn't be seeing the same cells as me. Anyways, just thought I might throw this info out there.

By the way, I have played with the forced motor current a little. I copied over some cells from newer PCMs, but that's it, nothing custom.
so my question is if i can increase the line pressure at steps 10-15 a bit more above where it is now as well as possibly increase the MA in the FMC vs Commanded Shift Pressure vs Temp Neg/Pos table?

The ft/lb torque table in the trans section is a gray area that I have never got an answer from HPT about how exactly it relates so I watch numbers on the scan myself and put them together. You can scan pcs amperage during a run and then referrence back in the actual table in the tuner and you will know exactly what it was commanding. The calculated torque numbers go hand in hand with more MAF input and this is something I have proven to myself and others over the years. If you have a low MAF input whether it be from the tune, larger maf sensor, etc, it will directly effect trans line pressure. Take a scan of your car during a WOT run and record the pcs amperage and you will know exactly what is being commanded.

Awesome info Dave! Thanks. This may help a bit with my weird shifting.
