My trans is on it's way out. Should I have it replaced by a shop with a 3 year warranty or the dealer with a 1 year warranty? Both places are known for doing quality work. Price isn't the issue since I've got a warranty.

GM rebuilds have a very bad rep, with people having to take advantage of that 1 year warranty multiple times. I'd go with the shop or, better yet, with Triple Edge Performance.
