So I have the dreaded P-1811 Code. Which shift kit is better? The Transgo comes with seals but is more expensive while the ZZP only comes with the spacers. I was thinking about just going with the TransGo figured I would post on here first and see what the forum has to say.

Well, IIRC the ZZP kit is just that- a shift kit that you can install to adjust the shift points and harshness of engagement. I think the one from Trans-go is just used to improve failing parts and keep the shift points where the ECU wants to see them thus reducing/eliminating the P1811 issue. I had this code on my 00 GT and installed just the new accumulators and whatnot from the TransGo kit from Dave at tripleedgeperformance.com and the trans hasn't shifted hard or set any codes since that time, and it's a high mileage trans at that. It does shift a bit more firm but it's never going to bark the tires, which is a good thing. Your call I guess.

Transgo SK4T65E Shift Kit This is the kit I bought/used.

Thanks for the quick response guys. I just can't believe this transmission is having an issue. About half of its life has been on an interstate at 80 mph. I will have to order the transgo thanks for the help!

id get the transgo with springs spacers and seals I have the zzp and although I haven't had any issues with it I wish I would've just got the the whole transgo kit droping the pan changing the filter, removing the part that holds the springs and valves and filling everything back up is a lot of work to just put spacers in when you can change the springs and seals as well no extra work involved especially if youre a highway driver like me im sure your car has plenty of miles like mine haha and im not sure what your trans runs at but mine was very hot on the highway above 220 going 70mph so I installed a trans cooler and made a huge difference made the trans hesistate MUCH LESS and it runs at 170 now I would do that too while you have the fluid out maybe fresh lines as well depending on mileage my lines went at around 140k miles
