Sweet. How does one make the LED's "stay" where they're supposed to - that is, between the shield and the lens?

Also - is there a "comprehensive" guide to wiring projectors here or anywhere else? Or should I just use my basic knowledge of electronics to feel my way thru it

    electrical tape.

If you get Bi-xenon projectors, you can wire the HI-beam wires to the high beam wires, polarity doesn't matter since it uses an electro magnet. And HID hook up is just like you would any other HIDs just need the corresponding bulb for what projector you use and to wire the low beam to hook into the ballast.

Thank you. W/ these forums, i'm learning more and more, everyday...and actually enjoying it more than my job...is that ok??

From The Retrofit Source, I see full kits are available (w/ the Morimoto D2S) that include everything (?) I would need.

Are we cool with using these?

You can do a kit if you want or piece it together yourself. Depends how much you want to blow

Matt at Retrofitsource recommends Morimoto H1 projectors for our headlight housing. I have everything here at the house to do a retro for you if you send my your headlight capsules. I use DDM H1 HID kits 5000k. I also use 9007 bi xenon plug and play relay harness.

    CleanGTP,

Thanks for the heads-up - I'll check them out. Hopefully I can do this myself (time permitting) but I will consider your offer as well - I appreciate it.

Do you have any pictures of your install?

For the high beams! There's two other connectors (besides the two single pin connections), but they look like they just connect to each other.

Are you talking about on a Projector?

or are you trying to hook up a dual Low/High bulb in one reflector?

I guess I'm just a little confused here. Do the bulbs themselves change between high/low or do projectors move the entire bulb? I was under the impression the bulbs change.

On a projector the cutoff shield moves in the projector to allow for High beam.

HID bulbs for sockets 9006 and H4 can have can have the ability to flip over for High beam on certain setups.

The 04+ projectors are possible to retrofit, but it is no easy task. I did mine with the minis but still haven't got around to adjust the cutoff. I tinted the side marker and swapped out the led's too.

if the 97-03 is possible, then the 04+ would be easy.

Only reason it is not too easy is because the plastic melts before the sealant softens, so it is a bit of a challenge to open them without wrecking them. Other than that its awesome because it already has a good mounting system made for projectors.

I've never had a problem with the plastic melting. The real problem is the plastic behind the headlight on the car that makes it hard to mount the projectors.
